Finance Manager - Investment Company
Job Description
We are pleased to partner with our client, a PE Firm, in looking for a Finance Manager for their thriving Luxembourg Office.
The position is a coordination, oversight and support role, ensuring the financial and operational governance and running of their Luxembourg holding company entities.
Your role will be autonomous, whilst working in a team of other experience professionals enabling mutual development. The role is varied and challenging, you will gain insight into many different investment vehicles and strategies.
What is different about this company is that you will be a key figure in the business, facilitating deal activity and transactions on the back of the provision of information supporting cash flows supporting new deals.
The position suits someone inquisitive, ambitious who is a strong communicator and able to build trusting and long lasting relationships. This element is key.
Responsibilities include:
• Liaise with internal stakeholders on various transactions, facilitating deal closings, coordinating relevant documentation and driving a smooth operational process
• Build and develop relationships with third party providers, influencing them to provide a dedicate and superior service
• Manage and oversee the financial, operational and governance requirements of SPVs (and fund structures)
• Provide cash flow information to finance new deals
• Act as a Director or Manager and board member providing effective governance
• Develop strong internal controls for reporting and operational requirements, keeping up to date on regulatory developments that may impact the holding or investment structures
Candidate Requirements
Your knowledge should include:
•A minimum of 7-8 years working experience, plus success at an investment company in Luxembourg, you will understand deal flows and ideally have some exposure to the transactions of the company
• An professional accounting qualification would constitute an advantage
• Director/Board experience is preferred
• Experience in working ‘in-house’ at an investment company is very important. Those with Big 4 and service provider experience without ‘in-house’ exposure are unlikely to be shortlisted.
• Strong knowledge of the Luxembourg regulatory environment with proven experience in alternative investments and related administration/accounting
• Understanding from a financial, legal and tax perspective of Private Equity structures (including holding companies, SPVs and Funds)
• Ability to build strong relationships, with excellent communication skills
• Solution orientated and proactive in dealing with complex problems
• Speak fluent English, with another European language considered a plus
