Senior Treasury Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client, a multinational company, in Luxembourg, as a Senior Treasury Manager. This role sits within Fund Operations team and you will report to the Head of the Fund Legal and Governance team, managing a small team of treasury professionals.
This role requires a subject matter expert with proven treasury management experience to take full Treasury oversight responsibilities for the team. Our client is looking for a collaborative team player, who is solution orientated and can provide support to a variety of stakeholders. You must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst maintaining client service excellence.
The fund operation team supports a portfolio of unregulated entities including private equity, real estate, infrastructure, debt investments.
The successful candidate will:
• Take full Treasury oversight responsibilities to ensure the Treasury operations and team run effectively from an operational and strategic perspective and in line with all policy and procedures
• Collaborating efficiently and effectively with 3rd party service providers across Europe
• Hire and manage small team of treasury professionals in providing payment and treasury support to the finance team. Provide sign off around payments, acting as subject matter expert for the team and point of escalation
• Responsibility for ensuring complete and accurate records of bank accounts is maintained
• Communicating directly to the AIFM board, conducting officers and others, acting as an expert on treasury oversight activity and governance, being able to make constructive proposals
• Monitor, guide and control external service provider(s) in compliance with a vendor governance program
• Carrying out ongoing controls of the Luxembourg depositary and custodian appointed to managed funds
• Be involved in all operational controls, measuring and reporting on applicable KPI’s within the team
• Continually contribute to the improvement of processes and client service quality
• Build strong relationships with the treasury and finance team and work proactively with all stakeholders including tax teams and legal teams; banks and other external stakeholders
• Coach and mentor treasury team, ensuring a collaborative and positive environment

• University Degree in a business related degree
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar Treasury Manager role and working environment; exposure to payments and treasury activity related to unregulated alternative investment structures (including private equity, real estate, infrastructure, debt investments, SPVs)
• Relevant work experience (e.g. fund manager, service provider, bank or audit/consulting firm)
• Be able to work with confidence and shape best practice in the Treasury/Finance team
• Understanding of internal operational controls & frameworks for payments and treasury department
• Fluent in English both written and verbal, with another European language advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, high degree of professionalism, must be a team player and highly collaborative
• Pro-active attitude to problem solving, solution orientated, with client service excellence skills
