We have a superb role for a Luxembourg accounting professional to join a leading financial services group, which has a dynamic and innovative culture, renowned for its investment in people and superior client service delivery.
Our client is looking for a Senior Fund Accounting Manager lead a team responsible for all client interactions for multiple key clients within alternative fund accounting services.
Your success will be in your ability to lead and develop your team, gaining credibility by sharing your technical expertise and setting the example by maintaining high standards of client service.
In addition to the day-to-day, you will lead a variety of project initiatives across your area and the wider business.
You will lead and develop important client relationships, building trust, imparting knowledge and advice and assisting clients to achieve their goals.
Key responsibilities:
• You will manage and oversee various fund structures within a team overseeing planning, scheduling, and monitoring of workloads.
• Act as the escalation point on technical accounting and reporting matters
• Review all aspects of accounting matters for a limited portfolio of fund structures
• Review the annual and interim reports of various investments funds administered including the review of the reports’ compliance with IFRS and Lux GAAP
• Attend client board meetings and present quarterly financial information
• Lead and project manage various business initiatives
• Review and preparation and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax returns
• Lead, supervise and assist in the training and development of staff
• Arrange and manage the appraisal process for members of staff
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or Finance / ACCA or ACA
• 8-12 years relevant post qualification experience supported by a relevant professional qualification (ACCA or ACA)
• Excellent people leadership skills, and evidence of ability to motivate and develop high performing teams
• Sound technical financial services knowledge with regards to IFRS and Lux GAA (reporting)
• Minimum of 5 years working in alternative investments in Luxembourg
• You must have an existing right to work in Luxembourg
