Finance Associate - AIFM
Job Description
You will be a member of the accounting team, working closely with local colleagues in Luxembourg plus senior members of the Group Finance Team. The role will be varied, including group entity accounting, commercial finance for the business and you’ll be involved in key fund aspects for the AIFM.
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Finance Associate to join the team. We offer a supportive environment with training and development opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
As a Finance Associate, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial controls, optimising processes, and leveraging technology to enhance financial reporting and analysis
• Financial control oversight (including subscription tax review, management fees review etc…)
• Reviewing book entries of a junior accountant based in London (you must understand double entry bookkeeping)
• Executing month end processes for Luxembourg and its 5 European branches
• Preparing and reviewing presentations and reports to Luxembourg senior management team and Boards
• Quarterly & annual regulatory reporting
• Develop and maintain robust financial reporting dashboards
• Preparation of financial statements for various holding company entities
• Responsible for management fee billing, payments management for the AIFM and monthly management accounts
• Review and manage tax elements
• Produce board packs and management committee reports
• Flag and suggest process improvement opportunities, deliver automation enhancements (data management), then engage with the London team
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Fluent French language skills are required
• Experience in a reputable audit or accounting firm with strong practical accounting experience
• Experience in the financial services or asset management industry
• Strong background in financial controls and process optimisation
• Effective interpersonal and presentation skills are essential for this role
• Be proactive, with good attention to detail and prioritisation skills
