Job Description
Our real estate focused AIFM client is at an exciting stage, having obtained an AIFM license recently. Our client has an English speaking environment, a professional approach, and though it's well-established elsewhere, it is in an exciting “start up” phase in Luxembourg.
About the Role
We are looking for a local compliance officer to join them in a compliance role, incorporating AML compliance monitoring, supporting wok on policies and procedures,. You will undertake a broad range of responsibilities for the AIFM, assisting the Conducting Officer Compliance in daily operations. The role is aimed at someone with around 1 - 3 years' experience in a Luxembourg AIFM, or a more experienced candidate on a part time basis.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Conducting Officer Compliance in daily second line compliance activities.
• Assist with drafting policies and procedures.
• Undertake AML/KYC monitoring, suspicious transaction monitoring, etc.
• Perform regulatory watch and provide guidance to the business
• The AIFM’s compliance policy and monitoring plan
• Perform due diligence on delegates
• Assist with audit requests
• Drafting reports
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
• Speak and write fluently in English, being confident in discussions with international colleagues.
• Have excellent Luxembourg regulatory knowledge affecting AIFMs.
• Have between 1 and up to 3 years’ experience in risk in an AIFM.
• If you have more extensive experience, you will be looking to work 2 or 3 days a week.
Required Skills
• Fluency in English.
• Knowledge of Luxembourg regulations gained in a similar role in Luxembourg.
• Experience in risk management within an AIFM.
Preferred Skills
• A degree or Masters in risk, or other relevant risk focused training
