Our client has a small portfolio of hotels in Europe. The group acquires, renovates and operates hotels providing quality guest experiences while ensuring disciplined cost control and profitability.
They have impressive expansion plans to develop the portfolio; this role with have a material impact in the success of both the hotel platform and each of the hotels’ financial performance.

Role Overview

The Director of Finance will lead all financial activities of the group and act as a strategic partner to the CEO of the Group. This is a hands-on role suited to a commercially minded finance leader with experience working in hotels and hospitality.
The Director of Finance will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, banking relationships, property performance monitoring, while supporting operational managers in driving profitability.

Act as a strategic partner with the shareholders of the hotel portfolio.

Lead finance related projects: ensuring financial processes across the platform are robust, supporting acquisitions, putting in place financial frameworks for new hotels…

Experience & Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven success in running finance teams for hotel groups
• International exposure, demonstrating leading the finance functions for hotels in multiple locations
• 12+ years of financial control experience
• Strong management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills
• Experience with refinancing deals
• Experience in hotels and hospitality is essential
