Senior ESG Regulation and Investment Specialist

Our client is an esteemed global asset management company, and they are looking to hire a Senior ESG Regulation and Investment Specialist in Luxembourg. You will have extensive understanding of and a passion for ESG regulations and their application, to deliver updated ESG methodologies for our client’s investment solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the review and interpretation of all existing and future ESG Regulations which need to be embedded into the product range, investment solutions and process.
• Work with a variety of stakeholders from clients to product developers/managers and operations/programmers to ensure correctly applied and integrated ESG criteria
• Provide leadership and subject matter expertise with regards to all ESG related matters, and their impact on methodologies, being able to explain and coach on all ESG regulatory requirements
• Have a risk management mindset with regards to ESG regulatory risk
• Understand data points from ESG regulations, methodologies, inputs from rating agencies and the associated impact on the required product disclosures
• Project management all new ESG requirements into products and process
• Stakeholder management and training/coaching on ESG matters and methodologies.

• Ideally you will have a relevant Masters/Degree with ESG qualification or similar certification e.g. CFA, CESGA
• A passion for ESG and sustainability as it relates to investments with proven experience in either ESG Consulting or similar position in an Asset Manager; perhaps investment or portfolio management expert or sustainability expert with regulation understanding
• Ideally 6 + years of experience having delivered ESG or sustainable projects related to UCITS products
• In-depth knowledge of ESG regulations (e.g. SFDR, EU Taxonomy) and risks
• Excellent analytical and data driven skills (e.g. use of excel)
• Good organization, communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in English and German, both verbal and written, are essential with another European language advantageous
