Job Description
We have a great role in a family sized PSF for a tax compliance professional who would like to expand their responsibilities to include accounting for a portfolio of entities, having a mixed workload. Our client will be glad to support someone expanding their expertise beyond tax, and you’ll work in the office, so there’s always someone on hand to discuss.
You will join an international team to coordinate the tax compliance process for a range of entities, and also have responsibility for the accounting on a small portfolio of client entities.
This is a great opportunity for someone with in-depth knowledge of Luxembourg direct taxation, strong analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate between other professionals. It’s aimed at someone with around 5 – 10 years’ experience.
In this role you will:
• Support tax compliance through preparation of CIT, NWT, MBT returns for clients
• Calculate tax provisions
• Prepare VAT and subscription tax declarations
• Work closely with the accounting team, and build up your own expertise to manage the accounting for a portfolio of entities
• Provide support to the tax audit
• Maintain the tax records and ensure all filing deadlines are met
• Respond to questions on tax compliance
• Ensure strong communication with tax colleagues about tax developments and ensure good tax awareness in non-tax teams
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role you will:
• Have at least 5 years’ tax experience in Luxembourg (probably in a Big-4 or service provider environment)
• Have strong knowledge of tax compliance matters
• Hold a relevant tax degree / Masters
• Be improvement focused, in terms of knowledge and processes
• Be highly capable of juggling multiple priorities and working relationships
• Possess excellent communication skills in English and French
