Risk Management Associate - AIFM

Our dynamic AIFM client is seeking a Senior Associate in Risk Management / Fund Compliance to support a portfolio of European alternative investment funds with a focus on infrastructure, private equity (PE) and credit funds.
This role is an exciting opportunity for a Risk Associate with solid practical experience of VAR, stress testing, liquidity modelling and counterpart risk. You will be bright, dynamic, professional, and comfortable in a fast-paced English speaking environment. Your role will include:
• You will be an integral part of the Luxembourg Risk Management team ensuring effective risk management, oversight, risk mitigation and risk reporting for activities relating to AIFs
• Effecting required risk analysis and investment risk monitoring; monitoring compliance with investment restrictions, review and escalation of risks, breaches, effect remediation
• Prepare regulatory reporting (Annex IV),
• Perform deal risk reviews
• Oversee risk processes where they are performed by external teams
• Report to senior management, preparing risk and management reports associated with AIF portfolio; these could be for senior stakeholders and Risk Committees and/or regulatory reporting requirements
• Ensure risk frameworks, policies and procedures are updated and in line with regulatory requirements, and consider improvement

English speakign risk professionas with AIFM background only.Candidate Requirements:
• You have 4-6 years of local Luxembourg based experience European investment risk management experience in alternative investment strategies
• Investment risk and fund compliance understanding.
• Strong knowledge of AIF regulatory requirements
• Experience of preparing reporting; knowledge of excel, VBA, Power BI, SQL, Anaplan, Tableau are an advantage
• Strong communication skills, proactive in nature and highly collaborative.
• Fluent in English, with other European languages advantageous but not essential
