Junior Accountant
Job Description
Our client is a well-known international bank with a strong presence in Europe. The office in Lux is made up of approximately 100 people. Due to growth they look to welcome a Junior Accountant into the Internal Finance Team of six.
Our client requires someone who will work with the local internal team where you will gain exposure to a broad role including the A-Z of accounting for the Luxembourg entity, including various accounting and reporting responsibilities.
Once a year you will support the Chinese team and auditors with the year end audit for their Chinese accounts. They will consider candidates who have audit or other industry experience however you will need to speak and read Chinese accounting documents.

In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:
• Support completion of all accounts reconciliation duties (IFRS and Lux GAAP)
• Ensure accounting records are up to date
• Review invoicing and expenses
• Prepare and deliver all statutory fillings in IFRS
• Support year-end audit with the Chinese Team and Big 4 Auditors.
• Prepare short form reports and long form reports
Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role you will require the following attributes:
• Preferably a finance related Degree, ideally with professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA)
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Financial Accountant in Luxembourg
• Fluency in English and Business Chinese essential
• Be able to work autonomously whilst being an important part of a small team
