Finance Manager - Debt Funds
Job Description
We are pleased to partner with our client, a Debt Fund Manager, in searching for a Finance Manager to support their debt funds and holding companies and manage credit portfolios from A-Z.
If you work at a Luxembourg based service provider, this is an excellent chance to move in-house to an established and growing Private Equity Firm.
The company focuses on capital structures across a spectrum of credit strategies, including distressed loans, private lending, leveraged loans and high-yield bonds.
You will take an autonomous position in the company, being part of the Finance Team, ensuring the financial and operational governance and running of these investment structures. The role is varied and challenging, you will gain insight into many different investment vehicles and strategies.
The position suits someone inquisitive, ambitious who is a strong communicator and able to build trusting and long lasting relationships.
Key tasks will include:
• Take responsibility for managing the monthly NAV reporting process
• Support senior management to oversee the financial, legal and operational administration of SPVs (and some fund structures)
• Work with and oversee the provision of service for third party administrators
• Review accounting for the company’s entities/structures in Luxembourg including annual and semi-annual financial statements; ensuring tax compliance
• Prepare internal reports requested by other teams across the group
• Provide support with regards to transactions; e.g. provide fund/cash flow information
• Ensure policy and procedure adhered to; including internal controls and governance for reporting and operational requirements
• Participate in required meetings, including board meetings
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on various requirements to ensure efficient operational process
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
• 8+ years of work experience with good practical exposure to private equity and/or private debt
• Preferred background includes working at a financial services provider (with experience of debt funds)
• Big 4 experience
• Qualified Accountant or Bachelor Degree in Accounting
• Excellent understanding of LUX GAAP and IFRS and good knowledge of Excel
• Team player with a resourceful mind set
• Self-starter, motivated and excellent communication skills
